The Churches' Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME) is seeking a new General Secretary to lead the ecumenical organisation, which advocates for migrants, refugees and minority groups at European and national levels.
Based in Brussels, the General Secretary will act as the visible link between the network and its members, support the Executive Committee on a daily basis, manage a small team and office, keep the organisation financially sustainable, and represent the Churches in advocacy with the European Union and beyond.
Applications, consisting of a letter of motivation and a CV in English, must be sent to Prof. dr. Goos Minderman, chair of the recruiting committee, at gsrecruitment@ccme.be by 10 October 2026. All applications will be treated confidentially. First-round interviews will take place online in November and December 2026, with in-person interviews in Brussels in January 2027. The new General Secretary is expected to start ideally in summer 2027, with a few months of overlap with the current post-holder recommended.
